According to the Saudi Cabinet Decree Nº.213, the original SASO ICCP has been terminated. According to the Cabinet Decree Nº6386, a new product evaluation program for exports to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been approved and will replace the original SASO ICCP program.
This new assessment program is authorized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Saudi Arabia to ensure that products exported to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia meet the corresponding Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and international standards.
The new assessment scheme requires: All Saudi imported goods must be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformity (Certificate of Conformity) referred to as CoC—except for prohibited or exempted products—to prove that the product meets the requirements of the corresponding standard (technical standard). The certificate must confirm that these products have undergone formal verification in the country of origin under the supervision of an agency with corresponding qualifications.
